Highlights of SAIL 2025
The SAIL-IN Parade marks the start of the event. At 10:00 a.m., from the port of IJmuiden, a fleet of over 100 impressive ships — from Tall Ships to naval and innovative vessels — begins its majestic journey through the North Sea Canal to Amsterdam.
As the ships arrive in the IJ harbour at day’s end, each is welcomed with festive ceremony: gun salutes, national anthems, flag-raisings, and a fireworks display in the colors of its flag. It’s a breathtaking sight, watched by thousands along the canal’s banks.
